What OXO says about it
The manufacturer's own description, as published on the Amazon listing.
Brew the perfect cup of your favorite loose leaf tea with the OXO Tea Infuser Basket. The large-capacity stainless steel basket is calibrated for maximum flavor extraction and shaped to sit nicely in any mug.
The etched hole pattern keeps even the tiniest tea particles contained, while the dual-function lid retains heat and doubles as a drip tray to reduce mess. Tea infuser works with all loose teas, including green tea, black tea, and herbal tea.
Stay-cool silicone touchpoints ensure the entire brewing experience is a ritual you savor.
